Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit richmotionmedia.com (the "Site"), operated by Rich Motion, and how it is used.
Server logs and analytics
Like most websites, our hosting server automatically records standard log information for each request, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of the visit. We use AWStats, a statistics tool provided with our web hosting, to turn these logs into aggregate reports (for example, number of visits and popular pages). We use this information to run and improve the Site and do not sell it.
Advertising and cookies
We may use Google AdSense to show advertising on the Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. If you opt out, you may still see non-personalized ads.
For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
YouTube videos
Our stories include Rich Motion videos from YouTube. A video preview image loads from YouTube's servers; the YouTube player itself (served from youtube-nocookie.com) only loads when you choose to play a video. YouTube and Google may then set cookies and collect data under the Google Privacy Policy. Links that open youtube.com are also covered by that policy.
Accounts, ratings and your browser
If you create an account or rate content, we store your email, display name, a securely hashed password and your ratings to provide those features. Some preferences and ratings are saved only in your own browser's local storage. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
