Akademiks Claims Drake Dropped About $1.5 Million on His 40th: 'I've Never Seen Money Spent Like This'
Ak says he saw the 6 God's birthday spending up close, and the numbers he's throwing around are getting wild.
DJ Akademiks was at Drake's 40th birthday celebrations last weekend, and he came back with receipts, or at least his version of them. On a recent stream, Ak claimed Drake's birthday run cost somewhere around $1.5 million total, according to HotNewHipHop.
Per HNHH, Akademiks said Drake spent upwards of $400K at the club alone. He also claimed Drizzy dropped about $500K on a gift for Lena The Plug and roughly $200K on a gift for Sexyy Red. None of those figures have been confirmed by Drake's camp.

Ak didn't stop at the party. He reportedly added up what he believes went into the Air Drake and ICEMAN promo push and put the total at more than $12 million.
"I've never seen money spent like this," Akademiks said, per HNHH. He joked that even after the money hip-hop media has made him, he might have to start rapping.
Sexyy Red's birthday gift had already made headlines this week, with reports she was iced out with a pink diamond OVO chain.
