Anderson .Paak and Cordae Drop Joint Album 'Heavy Is the Crown'
Step-brothers in bars.

Step-brothers in bars. Anderson .Paak and Cordae have released their joint album "Heavy Is the Crown," 11 tracks in about 31 minutes, with production from J. Cole, Swizz Beatz, 9th Wonder and Conductor Williams, according to Rolling Stone and iHeart. It arrived Oct. 23.
Lead single "A Good Day" flips a Bill Withers classic, which tells you the lane right away: warm soul samples, live-band energy from .Paak, and Cordae doing what he does best, rapping with a chip on his shoulder.

There is some off-wax noise too. A label has reportedly sued Cordae, alleging breach of contract, and his lawyers have argued the contract is void. Nothing has been proven in court, and the case has not appeared to slow down the rollout.
The pairing has been building for a while, with the two reportedly trading verses and studio clips long before the album was announced.
