New Kim Kardashian Biography Claims She Was Held at Gunpoint in Uganda, and Blames a Kanye Episode
A new book about Kim Kardashian is making a wild claim about her 2018 trip to Africa with Ye.

A new book about Kim Kardashian is making a wild claim about her 2018 trip to Africa with Ye. Jonathan Van Meter's biography "Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future" alleges a police officer held a gun to Kim's head while the couple was in Uganda, and that Kanye's behavior set it off, per TMZ.
The account reportedly comes from Farnaz Farjam, a former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" producer. According to the book, a paranoid Ye became convinced someone was trying to drug him and got local police to search every room at the resort where they were staying. At one point, Van Meter writes, "One of the policemen had a gun to Kim's head." Entertainment Weekly also reported on the passage.

Neither Kim nor Ye has publicly addressed the claim. TMZ notes Van Meter did not interview Ye for the book, saying it would not have been fair while he deals with mental health issues. Kim did talk to him about her ex, reportedly saying she still worries about him and tries to present him as a good guy to their four children.
The pair looked happy in photos from that trip at the time, but they split a few years later, with Kim filing for divorce in 2021.
