Trump Puts Nicki Minaj's Figure on Blast at Michigan Rally, and Charlamagne Isn't Having It

Nicki Minaj went from Air Force One to the rally stage, and the moment everybody is talking about reportedly came before she ever grabbed the mic.

At a Sunday campaign stop in Port Huron, Michigan, President Trump appeared to riff on a Republican senator's backside, then reportedly pivoted straight to Minaj, praising her body in front of the crowd and calling it "hard to miss," according to the BBC and HuffPost. He reportedly told her to stand up as the arena cheered, then said he hoped she wasn't insulted.

Minaj, who has called herself Trump's number one fan, later took the stage in a gold suit and reportedly told the crowd he has "changed the energy of the country," per the BBC. On the way out, Trump appeared to add that she "never looked more beautiful."

The reaction came fast. On Monday's episode of The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne tha God said it was wild to watch Minaj spend years demanding respect for her talent only to be reduced to a body part, according to HuffPost and Mediaite. His takeaway: stop "confusing being chosen with being respected." He added that the moment "just didn't feel right," and co-host Loren LoRosa reportedly called it cringe and inappropriate.

Neither Minaj nor the White House appeared to respond to the criticism as of Monday night. Was this harmless rally talk, or did Charlamagne say what a lot of fans were thinking?
