Yella Beezy Trial: Expert Says All 44 Casings Came From One Gun, and None of the Seized Firearms Match
Day 3 of the Dallas murder-for-hire trial got technical fast, and the defense made sure jurors heard that no gun in the courtroom is tied to the killing.

Day 3 of Yella Beezy's capital murder trial in Dallas went deep into the forensics on Thursday, and one detail is already getting picked apart online. A state firearms examiner reportedly told jurors that all 44 spent cartridge cases recovered from the scene of MO3's 2020 killing were fired from a single gun, and that none of the firearms seized in the investigation matched them, according to FOX 4's live coverage.
Phillip Duong, a senior examiner with the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab, walked the jury through his analysis of the guns, casings and bullets tied to the case, per FOX 4. On cross-examination, the defense hammered home that none of the firearms shown in court have been linked to the murder.

Prosecutors then called an FBI digital forensics expert and introduced surveillance photos from a Ramona Avenue home, the same images used at convicted gunman Kewon White's trial. FOX 4 reports the photos appear to show White handling a firearm and leaving in a black Chevrolet before the shooting, and people in the backyard apparently burning something afterward. Prosecutors also showed side-by-side clothing comparisons across key dates.
Wednesday's testimony was heavy too. A neurosurgeon who got caught in traffic on I-35 described a bullet coming through his windshield and performing CPR on MO3 for about 25 minutes, AllHipHop reports. An ATF agent also testified that a K-9 search in October 2023 turned up a deliberately hidden Glock in MO3's impounded car.

Prosecutors allege Yella Beezy, born Markies Conway, paid White to kill MO3, born Melvin Noble, over a long-running feud. Conway has pleaded not guilty and denies any involvement. White was convicted of capital murder in September and sentenced to life without parole. The trial is expected to run about two weeks.
