Chicago Rapper LoWick, 22, Killed During FBI Operation as Family Asks What Threat He Posed
His sister claims he was hiding in an attic when agents opened fire. The FBI says the shooting is under internal review.

A 22-year-old Chicago-area rapper is dead after federal agents opened fire during a raid in south suburban Dixmoor, and his family says they still have no idea why.
Chadwick Clark, who recorded as LoWick, was shot and killed around 7 a.m. Wednesday near 145th Street and Cooper Avenue while agents carried out what the FBI called a court-authorized operation, FOX 32 Chicago reports. The bureau confirmed one person died and no agents were hurt, but it has not said what warrant was being served or what led an agent to shoot.

Clark's sister, Nia Cole, told reporters he was hiding in an attic when he was shot and questioned whether he was any threat at all. His family has claimed he was unarmed, though authorities have not said either way. Per the Chicago Defender, relatives say he was trying to turn things around after past legal trouble, was about to start a job at Amazon and leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter.
FOX 32 also reports Clark had a prior conviction tied to a 2022 hit-and-run crash on I-57. Five people were taken into custody after Wednesday's operation, but no arrests have been announced. The FBI says its Inspection Division is reviewing the shooting, as its policy requires.
