The lemon pepper empire may not be what it used to be, and 50 Cent is making sure everybody knows it.

Investor Eric Jackson posted on X that he went through nine years of Wingstop's state franchise filings and traced 32 store numbers tied to the Boss Wings companies linked to Rick Ross's family. By his count, those companies reportedly listed 21 open restaurants at the end of 2016 and just one, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, by the end of 2025, according to Complex and AllHipHop. Jackson reportedly said 28 of those store numbers now appear under other franchisees, and that the filings give no sale price or reason for the changes. His count only covers Boss Wings, so any other Wingstop interests would not show up.

50 Cent reportedly pounced, writing on Instagram, "See this fool only has one location, LOL," per Complex. It is the latest shot in a feud that has reportedly heated up all year.

Ross did not appear to dispute the numbers. In a video, he reportedly said he still loves Wingstop but that his "game went from more franchising to stocks," adding that the way he went into stocks, "you could have 200 franchises and not play at that level," according to AllHipHop and Rolling Out. He did not say what stock he holds, how much, or what the stores sold for.

Some of the shrink was already public: Wingstop reportedly said in 2022 that Boss Wings had handed its Memphis stores to a new operator, per Baller Alert.
