Victor Wembanyama Drops 52 and 24 on Cooper Flagg's Mavs, and Still Isn't Happy
Wemby set career highs in points and boards with eight blocks in a one-point win. His postgame review was all about what he missed.

"I wish I set better screens towards the end and made more free throws." That was Victor Wembanyama to ESPN's Katie George, minutes after putting up 52 points, 24 rebounds and eight blocks, per ClutchPoints.
Both the points and rebounds were career highs as the Spurs held off Dallas 112-111 on Wednesday (Nov. 4). Wemby shot 16-of-28 and got to the line 23 times, making his first 18 before cooling off late, according to Mavs Moneyball. He had 29 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks by halftime.
Flagg's nightmare first half
Cooper Flagg went 1-of-11 before the break with Wembanyama erasing everything at the rim. The No. 1 pick bounced back to finish with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and he and Naji Marshall (22 off the bench) led a comeback from 17 down. Marshall's three tied it at 111 with 1:41 left.
Wemby split two free throws with 24 seconds left, and Dallas' last possession ended with a contested Kyrie Irving fadeaway that would not fall. Irving led the Mavs with 29. San Antonio moved to 6-2, and Dallas fell to 4-4.
